Pearl necklace strand: Pearl Seiwa

Do you know the type of necklace’s strand? There is three type strands; Uniform, Gradation, and Multi-color. Please let us introduce each necklace strand types.

Uniform

With making pearl necklace, the size of akoya pearl will be almost the same size. Specifically it will be “Akoya pearl necklace 7-7.5mm.” It means that it’s more than 7mm, and less than 7.5mm. Being the almost same size, it will be more beautiful when you wear it.

Gradation

The center pearl is the biggest one, and will be smaller one to the edge gradually. It will be called “Gradation necklace.” Generally, Tahitian pearl and south sea pearl adapt this type. For example, “Tahitian pearl necklace 8-11mm” means that the size of its center pearl is 11mm, and the size of edge is 8mm. At first glance, you will see the same size of pearl necklace, but it will be made with gradation for more beautiful.

Multi-color

It will be used some color pearls of necklace, and be characteristic necklace. It’s called “Multi color necklace.” South sea pearl necklace and Tahitian pearl necklace adapts this type.

Do you know pearl necklace? I think you say yes. Then do you know opera necklace? It’s not famous musical, but the type of necklace. There are some necklace of other name; Choker, Matinee necklace, Opera necklace, and Rope necklace. Can you explain the difference between these necklaces? If you can do it, you know necklaces very well. If you don’t know, it’s not seriously problem. I explain below. Please refer to it.

Choker

This is the most general necklace. Its length is about 42cm included metal clasp. To say pearls only, its length is about 40cm, equals to 16 inch.

Matinee necklace

The length of Matinee necklace is about 60cm, or 23 inch. It is a little longer than Choker. But the looks changes very much. It will be more elegant. It sounds good that you wear at casual or formal style.

Opera necklace

It’s the best scene at party! Opera necklace is more beautiful and elegant. The length is twice than choker, it’s about 80cm or 34 inch. You can wear it with shirts, it’s good collaboration!

Rope necklace

It’s very longer necklace, the length is about 120cm or 47 inch. You can wear this necklace with double or triple.

Pearl has some colors. They are natural color and not natural color; it’s colored pearl. In case of akoya pearl, there are various colored pearls; it’s golden color, blue color, gray color, champaign color, pistachio color, and so on. For these colored pearls, it’s not natural color. Open pearl showroom of Pearl Seiwa

Pearl Seiwa opens our pearl showroom in Ueno, Okachimachi.  We would like visitors to choose the pearl unhurried and relaxed and opened this showroom. It’s displayed pearl necklaces and earrings in the showcase of this showroom. Kinds of pearls are akoya pearl, tahitian pearl, south sea pearl, golden pearl, multi-color pearl, mabe pearl.

In addition, we display some things in connection with the clock which is used the pearl, the pearl including the mirror is put.

We would like visitors to know the pearl even a little and do such a display. Our pearl showroom has some music playing in the background; Japanese song, foreign song, and Japanese radio. We would like the visitors to feel relaxed. 5 – 10 people can be in this room at the same time, you are welcome to come to your first trial with your friends.
